The Force Commercial

The Volkswagen commercial introducing the character of Darth Vader was very cute at the beginning. It shows the representation of how male genders interact and have each others back. It is very traditional for a father to “help out” his son by making him feel manly in turning on the power with “the force” of a character whom is recognized by the community as strong and powerful. The mother on the other hand is being more realistic, and stands her ground by not supporting this behavior. it shows the behavior there is when men have a son as the behavior of having a daughter. The Darth Vader character has made it 30 years on society, and his image has always been of a master. If the young child grows up believing things will always go his way, then the parents will raise a spoiled man. The commercial also shows how the there is a stay at home mom while it clearly shows the hard working father is the one bringing the main income to the house. It is not being realistic, because now-a-days, most homes require two working parents to maintain a decent life style with commodities. Do all homes have a nice affordable car and a stay at home mom?
